On the doorstep...

A perfectly spring like scene... cat (even if it is a stone one) warming itself in the morning sun and the cheerful blooms of pansies and tulips.

Enjoying Buckingham's Street Market

Buckingham Town Council is promoting the traditional street and flea market in town with events and activities outside the Old Gaol on Saturday mornings throughout April and June.
It's great to soak up the atmosphere on a stunning spring day: Local musicians Luke Ford and the Cantells and many others were entertaining the crowds and encouraged children to join in with percussion. During the last song of the day spectators were treated to a special performance dance by our local postman. You can see more pictures here...

Looking up Fleece Yard.
opposite the post office

One of the the things that I'm loving about having another photo contributer to this blog is seeing the different way they see and photoraph things.

Here's some past photos of Fleece Yard.

the old cinema: update

Old Vauxhall Garage Building

The original post is here.

as you can see nothing much has changed! This building, originally built in the 1930's has been both a Vauxhall Garage and a Cinema... if Sainsbury has its way in the future it may be demolished and in it's place a convenience store and flats will be built.

Personally... don't think we need the convenience store and I much rather see the building restored if it's still structurally sound.
