Dusty: I was discussing this with someone else the other day and I'm sure the "nose to nose" parking comes from the fact that parking spaces are valuable and most roads are too narrow to accommodate parking on both sides of the street.

The lighting is marvelous here. Also, I find this an interesting way of parking the car along the street.
